To All of the Christmas Angels
You Bring Such Joy
The ladies of WELCA want to thank all of you in the congregation who were Christmas Angels for Lutheran Social Services and Noah's Ark this year. Five families, including 13 children, will have a Merry Christmas because of you. Each family received a turkey plus all of the trimmings, including potatoes and gravy, yams, cranberry sauce, dressing, various vegetables and fruits and jello or pudding.
Each child received clothing including a dress, shirt(s), pants, shoes or a gift card valued at $30 for shoes. It wouldn’t be Christmas without each child receiving a toy. There was also a miscellaneous box of unwrapped gifts (colored pencils, crayons, coloring books, etc.) that were given to the families. In addition, one of our ladies donated socks to give to any child or parent who is in need.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the quilters who provided warmth and security to each child. Each child received a quilt of their very own. Children aren’t the only ones who need to be wrapped in God’s love. The parents received quilts as well. The quilts were especially wrapped in a unique way this year. Each gift bag was tied with a scrabble letter ribbon. What a special remembrance for each child and parent!
We just couldn’t have done this huge project without your help. The ladies of WELCA want to thank you Bethlehem for all of your caring and generosity in making a Christmas bright and joyous for these families.
