To All of the Christmas Angels
You Bring Such Joy
The ladies of WELCA want to thank all of you in the congregation who were Christmas Angels for Lutheran Social Services and Noah’s Ark this year. Three families received food – a ham or a turkey plus all of the trimmings. One of our congregants provided each family a Fry’s Food Stores gift certificate so they could purchase food
of their own choosing.
Each child received clothing including a dress or shirt, pants, shoes or a gift card for shoes. It wouldn’t be Christmas without each child receiving a toy. There was also a miscellaneous box of unwrapped gifts (colored pencils, crayons, puzzle, etc.) that were given to the families.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the quilters who provided warmth and security to each child. Each child received a quilt of their very own. Children aren’t the only ones who need to be wrapped in God’s love. Both of the single mothers received quilts. In the other family, both parents received quilts. In addition to that, two 55-gallon trash bags were totally filled to the top with quilts that were given to Lutheran Social Services. How awesome is that!
We just couldn’t have done this huge project without your help. The ladies of WELCA want to thank you Bethlehem for all of your caring and generosity in making a Christmas bright and joyous for these families.
