Golden Calf
At the direction of Aaron, the Israelites turn over their gold to create a new god while Moses is up on the mountain. When God realizes what is going on in Moses’s absence, God gets angry and decides to set God’s wrath upon them. But Moses reminds God of words that were said earlier, and God changes God’s mind.
