Join us for worship, Easter Sunday, April 17th, 2022 at 9:00 am in the Sanctuary.
Maundy Thursday
Join us tonight at 7pm as we experience the ‘Upper Room.’ In the gospels, we hear about Jesus inviting his disciples to celebrate Passover with him in an upper room guest house. During this service we will experience, through stations, a hand washing, anointing of oil, prayer, and communion. It will be a moving service, a reminder of what Jesus experienced in his final hours. Worship will include a liturgical dance by Knightly Oliveira, and will conclude with the stripping of the altar.
Good Friday
Join us tomorrow night at 7pm for a service of Tenebrae and the 7 Last Words of Christ. Tenebrae simply means ‘increasing darkness.’ After each of the last words of Christ is spoken, a candle will be extinguished, and the room will grow darker. Come, hear the final words of Jesus from the cross.
Easter Sunday
We are excited to have both a sunrise and a regular celebration worship for Easter! Join us at 6am for Easter Sunrise worship, outside in the courtyard (it will be slightly shorter than a typical worship service). Then, stick around from 7-9am for a wonderful Easter Brunch! If you want to help out or bring a dish, please contact Arlene Jacobson (602-686-2400) or Carol Savoie (480-313-4739). We will also have an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids starting at 8:15am. Finally, the Easter Celebration worship service will begin at 9am in the sanctuary. Come and celebrate this most holy of days, as we remember who has the final word when it comes to sin and death!
