After thorough analysis and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close the Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (I-HELP) in Phoenix and Mesa, by October 31.

This program, while beloved and impactful, has been increasingly difficult to fund in a changing landscape. Despite our best efforts to secure additional funding, we have been unable to cover the costs of the program without compromising the financial health of our organization and diverting resources from other critical services.

Additionally, organizations whose primary focus is addressing homelessness have built new facilities in Maricopa County, adding over 500 beds over the past 3 years.

We understand that I-HELP has been an important part of many lives. All guests that are still in the program will be receiving case management until alternative shelter and supports have been identified.

We are especially grateful for the community partners that are leaders in working with people in homelessness – we hope you will consider shifting your support to their programming, or to another service of LSS-SW. We deeply appreciate the support and dedication of everyone involved with I-HELP, and are proud of the accomplishments of our graduates. You have made a meaningful difference in building the community that God envisions for us, and we thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition.
