Palm Sunday
This Sunday is Palm Sunday, also known as the Sunday of the Passion. The order of worship will be an adaptation of Walter Wangerin, Jr.’s “The Cry of the Whole Congregation,” along with musical selections from various sources. The purpose of Sunday’s worship is to allow each one of us to discover our rootedness in Christ’s drama, so that the Passion of Christ is no longer a mere story for observance, analysis or history. Rather, the Passion becomes our story; a story that shapes our very being. As we begin the pilgrimage of Holy Week, may God’s Spirit truly make us participants in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ.
