School is just around the corner. The school year begins for Mesa Public Schools on August 3 this year. It is such a wonderful feeling starting out a new school year with new backpacks, notebooks, etc. There are so many families that struggle with being able to provide the necessary supplies for school. The annual school drive
for WELCA will be held this year on July 18 and July 25.
The bins will be located in the narthex. We need all kinds of school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, paper and other miscellaneous supplies. If you wish, socks and underwear may also be included.
If you would prefer not to shop, you may contribute cash or write a check. If you write a check, please write it to Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest. In the memo line, please write “Emergency Services.” Please give your cash or checks to either Anna Marie Freeman or Ellie Thompson. It is that time of year when our hope is that all children will have the necessary supplies that they need for a successful school year.
