Thank you to all of you in the congregation who stayed for the Come and See Tour promoted by Lutheran Social Services last Sunday. It was a wonderful turnout. All of us left the tour with more knowledge about the impact that Lutheran Social Services has on the refugee crisis, homelessness, foster parents and adoption and other areas as well. It was a special treat to hear Carolyn speak, a recent graduate of the I-HELP program.
Connie Phillips, President and CEO of Lutheran Social Services and Hannah Miller, Director of Community Engagement, gave Bethlehem a huge thank you for the food pantry, school supplies and all of the other activities that we participate in to help
with their organization. Those of you who were unable to attend for whatever reason, hopefully there will be another opportunity in the future.
Everyone enjoyed the treats provided by Shirley Davis – a special thank you to her for hosting hospitality. I want to extend a thank you to Carol Savoie and Arlene Jacobson for their assistance in the kitchen as well. We are so appreciative of Pastor John and Sara’s technical assistance and Sharon’s message on the parable of the good Samaritan which was definitely a “God thing.”
