From the Welcoming Committee
Bethlehem congregants, do you remember that warm welcome you gave to Pastor Brian and his family on June 27? Now I challenge each and every one of you again. It was so wonderful for Bethlehem to have a full parking lot that Sunday. Bethlehem needs the parking lot full every Sunday. If you want to give Pastor Brian, Bekkah, Aubreigh and Madisyn another warm welcome, you absolutely need to be in attendance. As the saying goes, “Practice makes perfect.” Before you enter the sanctuary, be sure to remember to put on your name tag so Pastor Brian can learn names easily and quickly.
Pastor Brian officially starts his new ministry at Bethlehem on August 30; however, his first Sunday leading the congregation in worship is September 5. After the service has ended, there will be a presentation of gifts to Pastor Brian and his family. The gifts are all contributions you have made to Pastor Brian and his family. Every ministry at Bethlehem is involved in some way with this presentation. Due to the Delta variant, there will be no further fellowship until approval by the council. Council will review this at each monthly
council meeting.
There is still a need for some personal assistance, moving chores, prayers, etc. If you have any time or a particular talent that you would like to share with Pastor Brian and his family, please call Jim Thompson @ 602-751-9194 or Ellie Thompson @ 602-796-6213 and let them know what kind of blessings you have to offer to our new Pastoral family.
I would like to end with this prayer.
Dear heavenly Father, we are so blessed to have Pastor Brian Weinberger and his family whom You have sent to our congregation. Thank You for him and his family. We pray that as Pastor Brian faithfully delivers Your Word to all of us week by week he will be encouraged to know that he is fulfilling Your commission to go into all the world and teach the gospel, in a very special way.
Strengthen Pastor Brian’s walk with You Lord we pray, as he studies the Bible and prepares to deliver the truth of Scripture to all of us that gather week by week, to be fed from Your Word. And I pray God that You would send him little encouragements from his new congregation or from other believers, with whom he comes in contact, as well as opening up the Scriptures more and more to his own understanding as we all seek to mature in the faith. Amen
We are a home to share God’s love and grace.
